The edge of the Hurulu reservoir it has best known protected area. The forest reserve is an important habitat of the Sri Lankan Elephants and Birds. Hurulu forest reserve represents Sri Lanka dry-zone dry evergreen forests. Before nominated as a Forest reservoir this area consisted with a teak tree, but now it’s transformed into a forest. These talks are favorable to Elephants. There is a log cabin in the rocky slop. This place is only allowed for visitors to get down to their jeep. Affording the visitor a panoramic view. Narrow logs as steps led to the top. Visitors can stand gazing through the park from this vantage point. The forest reservoir fauna species include Elephants, leopard, The Indian Star Tortoise, Sri Lanka Jungle fowl, Rusty-spotted Cat and rare sloth bears.
