The paths are well marked and you can find signboards everywhere so exploring shouldn’t be that hard. The ceilings have some amazing paintings belonging to the Kandyan era and they are well preserved as well. There a small bridge made out of wood connecting two caves. Nothing spectacular but the it has a certain grace to it after surviving for so long. Behind the temple is the Pilikuttuwa forest reserve and there you can find the giant pus creeper.
